Chennai, November 6th — The “Chennai Runs” marathon, organized by MRT1, is back and set to light up the streets on November 26, 2023. More than just a marathon, this event is a powerful initiative to make a difference, one stride at a time.

With an impressive history of attracting over 6,000 participants last year, the 2023 edition of “Chennai Runs” marathon is reaching for the stars, aiming to see 10,000 runners take part in a heartwarming journey of running for a cause.
Running for a Cause:
At the heart of “Chennai Runs” is its noble mission – to raise funds for the Sri Arunodayam Charitable Trust, a home for underprivileged children with disabilities. Every step taken during the marathon contributes to a brighter future for these children, making “Chennai Runs” more than just a race, but a celebration of compassionate action.
Prize Money Amount: Rs. 3,00,000

“The idea of this marathon is to come together in raising funds to build a school for under privileged children with disabilities at Thiruvallur. It’s a very important mission that MRT1 and Arunodhayam has taken up, and I wish them all success. I’m happy to wish them and be a part of this endeavour,” says Mr Kamal Hassan.
