16 – 60 year olds amateurs celebrated the festival of love by singing their hearts out
Chennai 15th February 2023: Phoenix Marketcity one of the premium malls in Chennai hosted a special event for one and all to commemorate the day of love with Valentunes – 2023 on 14th February 2023. In collaboration with Iris Events, the one-of-a-kind event hosted amateur men and women between the age of 16-60, dressed in red singing their hearts out for love in the 11th edition of Valentunes.
The event provided an ideal platform for closet singers to come out in the open, dazzle the audience and croon their way to becoming playback singers. The audience at the mall were exposed to the most exciting and foot-tapping music, presented by the contestants. This year’s contest drew an enthusiastic response with more than 400 contestants taking part in the preliminary level audition, of which 50 were shortlisted to proceed to the next level. In the semi-finals, contestants gave voice to their talent by singing, accompanied by a live orchestra.
The quality of the performances was remarkable with 24 contestants making it to the final stage. The ‘Finals’ included a challenge round where participants had to keep pace with the tunes played by the orchestra. The event included four categories – Teen Valentunes, Mr. Valentunes, Ms. Valentunes and Duet Round.
Special guests from various walks of life along with jury members comprising renowned personalities participated enthusiastically. Music directors LP Muthu & LP Ganesh, Artist Priyadarshini Rajkumar, and jury members comprised of Play back singer Koushik, JayaDev, Kamalaja (Winner of Valentunes 2012 ) and Satrangi Pramod Nair were present.
Two best voices – Voice of Iris Valentunes Male & Female were awarded bicycles, trophies and also opportunities to playback singing
