IPA presents ‘Best Pharmacist Award’, scholarships to students

Chennai, Nov 21: Dr. Krishna Ella, Founder and Chairman Bharat Biotech presented the ‘Best Pharmacist Award’ to T. Sathish Secretary, IPA-TN, Vice President, Tablets India at the valedictory of National Pharma week organised by IPA.

 

Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Tamil Nadu Branch) in association with Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Sciences Welfare Trust, organised valedictory of National Pharma week at : IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai. The theme of the week is ‘India – Pharmacy of the World’.

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association has been celebrating the National Pharmacy Week every year. The major focus of NPW celebrations is to create awareness amongst the public, other healthcare providers and the authorities, about the NPW theme in particular and about the pharmacy profession and the role of the pharmacist in general.

 

Dr. Krishna Ella, Founder and Chairman Bharat Biotech Ltd. presented the pharma awards and delivered special address to the pharma college students.

 

Bharat Biotech chairman Krishna Ella presented the Best Pharmacist award to Mr. T. Sathish Secretary, IPA-TN, Vice President, Tablets India. A. Krishna Dev, Chairman, TANIPA announced the award.

Krishna Ella presented five categories of awards to students, teachers and institutes for various achievements. The awards are instituted by various associations and companies. The five categories of awards include ‘Best pharmacist award, best student award, best teacher award, best institution award and best essay award. He also distributed scholarships of best performing pharma students.

 

The award presented to K.R. Arumugam for pharmacy education, A. Sarangapani for pharma regulatory affairs, R. Srinivasan received the award for community pharma service, V. Ravichandran received the award for his contribution in the field of Hospital pharmacy and K. Pandian for Pharmaceutical industry.

 

S. V. Veerramani Chairman, Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Science Welfare Trust spoke about challenges faced by pharma industry.

 

Dr. S. Manivannan President, IPA-TN , J. Jayaseelan Vice President, IPA-TN , T. Sathish Secretary, IPA-TN , Rajesh H Bhandari Treasurer, IPA-TN, Dr.G Selvaraju, president of the TN IPGA, were also spoke at the event.
